Whales, cliffs, and the open sea: experience Croisières Baie de Gaspé

If there's one of Quebec's most spectacular places to watch whales, it's Gaspé Bay. Between the cliffs of Forillon National Park and the vastness of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, these rich waters attract several species of marine mammals every year.

It's against this magnificent backdrop that Croisières Baie de Gaspé invites you to set sail for an unforgettable outing.

Two convenient departure points to better welcome you

Good news this season: the company is enhancing its offering with two boarding locations, making access easier depending on your itinerary in Gaspésie:

  • Grande-Grave Sector, in Forillon National Park
  • Gaspé Marina, in the heart of Gaspé city

Whether you're already at Forillon National Park or heading downtown, it's now even easier to add a whale watching cruise to your trip.

Four vessels to choose your adventure

Croisières Baie de Gaspé operates four boats, allowing everyone to find the experience that suits them.

For thrill-seekers: Zodiacs

Three 12-passenger Zodiacs offer a dynamic and immersive experience. Perfect for feeling the ocean breeze, navigating quickly, and experiencing the sea up close.

For Families: The Narval

The Narval boat can accommodate up to 47 passengers and offers:

  • onboard restroom
  • accessibility for people with reduced mobility
  • welcomes children aged 0 to 2
  • comfortable navigation for the whole family

Whichever option you choose, raincoats are provided on board to ensure you fully enjoy the outing.

An excursion that goes beyond observation

The approximately 2.5-hour cruises are led by passionate interpretive guides who share their knowledge about:

  • whales observed in the region
  • seals
  • seabirds
  • the St. Lawrence ecosystem
  • the landscapes of Forillon National Park

Every departure offers an immersion into the natural beauty of the Gaspé region.

A company committed to research

Croisières Baie de Gaspé also contributes to our understanding of marine mammals. Observers from the Marine Mammal Observation Network (ROMM) come aboard to collect data on sighted species, and daily observations are transmitted to support whale research and protection.
