Mount Saint-Alban – Forillon National Park
7.2 km – 3 hr 30 min round trip
Elevation gain: 405 m
A must-do to admire the panorama of Gaspé Bay, the Gulf of St. Lawrence, and the Forillon cliffs. Your efforts are well rewarded at the summit.
For a challenging hike
Sentiers du Bout du Monde – Mont-Béchervaise
23 mountain bike trails + 7 multi-use trails
Elevation gain: 245 m
A dynamic outdoor playground right at the city's edge. Perfect for combining hiking with a lively atmosphere, with trails for all levels.
For an urban hike
Sentiers des Légendes – Downtown Gaspé
Loops from 600 m to 11.6 km
Elevation gain: 120 m
Perfect for a nature escape while staying in the city. A varied network that will appeal to families and experienced hikers alike.
For a short hike
Lookout – Les Crêtes Trail, Forillon National Park
3 km – 1 hr 30 min round trip
Elevation gain: 193 m
A short hike leading to a superb lookout. Accessible from the Route 132 parking lot, it's an excellent choice for a quick outing with a view.
For a hike to the highest peak
Mount Puddingstone
6 loops – from 1.4 km to 9.4 km
Elevation gain: 590 m
For hikers seeking an ascent, this is Gaspé's highest peak. The trails offer total immersion in the forest and impressive panoramic views.

Sustainable development at the heart of our destination
Escale Gaspé is committed to making sustainable development a central and cross-cutting element of its strategic planning. It aligns with Cruise the Saint Lawrence's Sustainable Development Strategy and shares its vision for the Saint Lawrence destination.
The cruise industry contributes to the socio-economic vitality of Quebec and its regions, while also participating in the preservation and regeneration of ecosystems. The Saint Lawrence destination offers a positive-impact, human, and sustainable experience, building bridges between visitors and host communities, maritime, tourism, and scientific stakeholders.
Escale Gaspé has taken action in recent years regarding sustainable tourism development. It has equipped its cruise terminal with waste sorting stations and a boutique showcasing local products. It also broadcasts educational content on sustainable and responsible tourism for cruise passengers via a screen located in its terminal.
The organization also launched its very first stakeholder consultation forum in spring 2025, regularly participates in the sustainable tourism best practices sharing community 'Les Courants Durables du Saint-Laurent', and is involved in a social acceptability campaign led by Cruise the Saint Lawrence.
Destination Gaspé's brand new, optimized website also helps stimulate the local economy and enhance the tourism offering by improving the visibility and attractiveness of local businesses. It provides a modern and engaging showcase on a centralized platform, while integrating rich content related to local stories and the region's unique cultural events.
