Favourite: Autumn

In Gaspé, autumn doesn't just change colors. It transforms everything. The valleys turn deep red, the peaks are covered in brilliant yellow, and the trails undulate in golden light. From September onwards, the landscape is transformed into a living fresco where sea and forest meet in striking harmony. The wind carries the unique scent of damp leaves. It's a season that invites you to slow down and soak up the moment. 

On the paths, steps become slower, more attentive. Silence becomes an accomplice. We advance to the rhythm of the crackling leaves, the breath of the gulf. Golden valleys, luminous undergrowth, belvederes looking towards the horizon: every turn reveals a new perspective, an unexpected tableau. 

The outdoors takes on a whole new dimension here. You hop on a bike, slip a kayak into the water, run through the colors - just to feel autumn vibrate beneath your skin. And sometimes, without warning, nature reveals itself: a movement at the edge, a breath in the bay, a flutter of wings across the sky. Wildlife discreetly blends into the scenery. 

It's also a time of harvest and tradition. At the farmers' market, stalls overflow with fresh produce. In the woods, hunting brings together those for whom autumn remains a deep bond with the land, a transmitted knowledge, a respected ritual. 

And then there are those suspended moments. The sky lighting up over the Gulf. Dawn gliding gently over the cliffs of Cap-Bon-Ami. Lights that move, landscapes that leave you speechless. 

In Gaspé, autumn is not a passing season. It's a season we never forget.
